The Mas del Botó family winery is located in the middle of the secluded Cortiella Valley. The vineyards surround the farmhouse, staggered in small granite slate terraces. Visiting Mas del Botó means carrying out wine tourism in an old farmhouse, travelling in time, reaching a valley far away from noise where everything goes slowly and nothing disturbs the resting of the wines.
After arriving at the winery through the forest track of the Ermita de Puigcerver, the visit begins by the nearby vineyards and then moves on to the interior of the building, renovated in 2007. In there we can still see the brick wine presses where the wine was fermented in the past. We will continue to the vinification and ageing room, after which we will finally enter the tasting room, where we will be able to take advantage of the quiet location of the place and enjoy some wine.
During the visit, we are also given the possibility to taste typical products of Alforja, such as artisan cheeses provided by the company Cingles Vermells. It is also possible to combine wine tourism with the discovery of the world of bees through an experience prepared by Mel del Padrí. We can round off the day eating at the nearby Puigcerver Hermitage while enjoying its incredible views of the Baix Camp. ©Enoguia

La visita a Mas del Botó ha estat perfecta. La facilitat per concretar la data i hora, les indicacions detallades per poder arribar al celler (no és fàcil) i sobretot la visita que ens ha efectuat el Pep. Les vinyes, el celler i la degustació, tot amb explicacions i un complement d’història. Em deixava un detall important ens han agradar molt els dos vins que produeixen.

Visita perfecta con el Jose María. Mis amigos y yo no conociamos la bodega y todo fue genial puesto que se desvive por enseñar su proyecto levantado piedra a piedra. Fue genial platicar con él. Solo una pequeña emmienda… tomar el la pista superior para llegar por el collado de alforja y no por el de google.
Amabilidad infinita
Una visita fantástica. El Josep Maria es un anfitrión perfecto, atento y que se desvive en explicar su proyecto. La finca impresiona, pues está en un lugar recóndito, lleno de paz y tranquilidad, caminamos por los bancales relajadamente para luego en las instalaciones ver los antiguos lagares y entrar en la masía. Además de los vinos de Mas del Boto también hicimos una cata de qeusos artesanos de la zona.
